During the 2016 more renewable energy has been generated than in 2015
The 41% of all electric energy generated in Spain proceed from renewable energy sources. This supposes and increase of 4,2 points comparing to the 2015, especially, thanks to the increase of 25,1% of the hydraulic production. A growth that has come from the hand of a greater peninsular demand.
The nuclear energy has been the first electric source during the 2016 and has covered 22% of this year's demand, followed by wind power (19.2%), hydropower (14.1%), coal (13.7%), combined cycles (10.4%), cogeneration (10.1%) Photovoltaic (3%), solar thermal (2%), other renewable (1.4%) and waste (1.2%).
One of the most significant data, apart from the increasement of the electric energy with renewables sources, is the increase of the photovoltaic solar generation, which has increase a 0,3% comparing with the 2015.
What is going to happen in 2017? Will the percentage of electricity generation from renewable sources continue to rise?
